Overview

A Massachusetts State Senate campaign is seeking a motivated and energetic Field Coordinator to join our team and help build a strong grassroots field operation across the Boston suburbs. The Field Coordinator will recruit and manage volunteers, organize canvasses and phone banks, conduct direct voter contact, and help the campaign reach voters throughout the district. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is passionate about grassroots organizing, enjoys working with people, and wants hands-on campaign experience in a competitive state legislative race.

Responsibilities
  • Recruit and train volunteers for canvassing, phone banking, and field events.
  • Lead canvass launches and door-knocking efforts.
  • Make phone calls and conduct direct voter contact.
  • Track voter-contact goals and assist with campaign events.
  • Support the day-to-day execution of the campaign's field plan.
Qualifications
  • Hardworking, reliable, and organized; comfortable speaking with voters and volunteers.
  • Willing to work evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Previous campaign or organizing experience is helpful but not required; enthusiasm, good judgment, and a willingness to jump in wherever needed are valued.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively with voters, volunteers, and campaign staff.
  • Comfortable knocking doors, making phone calls, recruiting volunteers, and engaging with members of the public.
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks, events, and deadlines.
  • Willing and able to work evenings and weekends as required by the campaign schedule.
  • Must have access to a reliable car and be able to travel throughout the Boston area.
  • Comfortable using smartphones, computers, spreadsheets, and campaign technology. Experience with voter databases or MiniVAN is a plus but not required.
  • Previous experience in campaign, organizing, customer service, or community engagement is preferred but not required.
  • A positive attitude, strong work ethic, good judgment, and willingness to jump in wherever needed.
