Virtual Registered Nurse, Hospital

What You'll Do

• Clinical Care & Assessment
• Conduct comprehensive virtual assessments, admissions, discharges, and episodic visits.
• Monitor real‑time patient data and take appropriate action in accordance with clinical protocols.
• Act as the patient’s virtual point of contact—acting like a call bell system by responding promptly to needs, questions, and concerns via remote monitoring technology.
• Use strong clinical judgment and critical thinking across a broad acute‑care population.
• Provide medication education, administer guidance, and coordinate with pharmacy teams.
• Care Coordination & Communication
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary Home Hospital team to deliver timely, coordinated care.
• Support patients and families through communication, education, and remote care planning.
• Document all care in Epic accurately and promptly.
• Manage incoming patient concerns and ensure appropriate follow‑up.

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
• Current Massachusetts RN license.
• BLS certification required.

• Minimum 3 years recent bedside experience required (Emergency experience strongly preferred).
• Experience with telehealth, remote patient monitoring, or start‑up/innovation environments is a plus.
• Proficiency with Epic, Microsoft Teams/Outlook, and web‑based communication tools preferred.
