MGB Internal Resource Pool- Oncology RN

About This Role

The Oncology RN will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with hematological and solid-tumor cancer diagnoses, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high standards of healthcare are maintained.

• Pay: $60-100/hr
• Location: Somerville, MA
• Facility: Mass General Brigham Home Care, Inc.
• Department/Unit: Oncology Float Pool
• Schedule: Full-Time

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in accordance with established protocols.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Administer medications, monitor patient conditions, and assist in treatments and procedures.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines.
• Educate patients and families on health management and post-care instructions.
• Uphold infection control measures to ensure a safe clinical environment.
• Respond efficiently and effectively to emergent situations, demonstrating sound judgment and critical thinking skills.
• Provide patient and family education and support throughout their admission.
• Administer treatments including Chemotherapy, Immunotherapy, Stem Cell Transplants, and CAR‑T.
• Work collaboratively to provide excellent care to patients and families in the safest environment.

Education:

• Associate's Degree in Nursing required, Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred

Experience:

• 2-3 years of clinical nursing experience required
• 2-3 years of hospital or managed care experience preferred

Licenses &

Certifications:

• Current RN License in Massachusetts required
