Meadowlark Garden Studio is seeking an experienced gardener to join our growing team caring for exceptional residential gardens. Our work is centered around Concord, Massachusetts, and the surrounding communities.

Meadowlark is a boutique garden design, fine gardening, and seasonal container company working throughout Greater Boston. We create beautiful, resilient landscapes with a strong focus on horticulture, craftsmanship, and thoughtful care. Our team brings together experienced gardeners, horticulturists, and designers who care deeply about plants and the details that make a garden exceptional.

The Position

Experienced Gardener

Our gardeners provide thoughtful, hands-on care for established and newly planted landscapes, helping gardens mature and improve year after year.

Typical work includes:
  • Fine gardening and seasonal maintenance
  • Expert pruning of shrubs, small trees, roses, and perennials
  • Planting and transplanting perennials, shrubs, and annuals
  • Dividing, staking, deadheading, and perennial care
  • Identifying common plants, weeds, pests, and garden issues
  • Renovating and improving established garden beds
  • Mulching, edging, and bed preparation
  • Seasonal container installation and maintenance
  • Maintaining clean, organized, and professional job sites
Requirements

A minimum of 2 years of professional gardening, horticulture, estate gardening, or comparable landscape gardening experience is required.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has strong plant knowledge and professional gardening experience
  • Understands proper pruning and plant-care practices
  • Has an eye for detail and takes pride in high-quality work
  • Can work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
  • Is comfortable working outdoors throughout the season
  • Is dependable, professional, and respectful of the properties we care for
  • Has a valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Formal horticultural education is welcomed but not required when supported by strong professional experience.
