Senior Research Associate – Research Analytical Discovery

Senior Research Associate I – Research Analytical Discovery (Ultragenyx Pharmaceutical, Inc., Somerville, MA). Requires a Master’s or foreign equivalent degree in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry or a related discipline and 3 years of experience in the job offered or 3 years of experience performing analytical characterization of adeno-associated viral (AAV) vectors. In lieu of a Master’s degree, will accept a Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry or a related discipline with 5 years of experience in the job offered or 5 years of experience performing analytical characterization of adeno-associated viral (AAV) vectors.

Also required is 3 years of experience: executing quantitative PCR (qPCR), digital PCR (dPCR), digital droplet PCR (ddPCR), and gel electrophoresis methods; performing gDNA and RNA extractions, cDNA generation, and independently running CE-SDS, MSD ELISA, and AUC assays; and working with various methods, including PCR, mammalian cell culture, buffer preparation, mass photometry, restriction enzyme digest, DNA purification, as needed within molecular biology, immunoassays, protein biochemistry, or biophysical characterization of rAAV gene therapy cell lines and viruses.
