The RoleAs a Dental Implant Sales Consultant, you will work directly with prospective patients who are considering significant dental reconstruction and implant treatment.
Many patients who seek treatment have lived for years with dental issues that have affected their confidence, appearance, ability to eat, relationships, social life, and overall quality of life. Your ability to listen, connect emotionally, understand their personal motivations, and communicate the value of treatment will be critical to your success.
This is a high-ticket, consultative B2C sales position requiring sophisticated sales skills, emotional intelligence, confidence, and the ability to close.
You will guide patients through the decision-making process, help them overcome concerns and financial barriers, and ultimately help them move forward with treatment.
Responsibilities- Meet with prospective patients to understand their dental concerns, personal goals, motivations, and desired outcomes.
- Build immediate trust and rapport with patients who may be anxious, embarrassed, frustrated, or emotionally impacted by their dental condition.
- Present and sell full-mouth reconstruction and dental implant treatment packages to qualified patients.
- Translate clinical treatment recommendations into compelling, patient-centered value.
- Use sophisticated consultative and emotional selling techniques to uncover the "why" behind a patient's decision to seek treatment.
- Identify and address objections related to cost, timing, fear, uncertainty, family considerations, and treatment commitment.
- Confidently ask for the sale and guide patients toward making a decision.
- Follow up consistently and strategically with patients who have not yet committed to treatment.
- Help patients navigate financing options and remove financial barriers to moving forward.
- Maintain accurate patient information, sales activity, and follow-up within the CRM.
- Partner closely with doctors and the clinical team to ensure patients have a clear understanding of their recommended treatment.
- Provide a seamless handoff to the administrative and clinical teams once a patient commits to treatment.
- Consistently achieve and exceed individual sales and revenue goals.
- Participate in sales meetings, training, coaching, and performance reviews.
- Identify opportunities to improve the patient sales experience and contribute ideas to strengthen conversion.
- Deliver an exceptional patient experience from the initial consultation through treatment acceptance.
Exceptional Sales Ability. This position requires more than basic customer service or relationship management. They are looking for a proven closer with a demonstrated history of success selling high-value products, services, or solutions. The ideal candidate:
- Has a consistent track record of exceeding sales goals and KPIs.
- Is highly skilled in consultative and solution-based selling.
- Is comfortable selling high-ticket services.
- Knows how to uncover needs rather than simply present features and benefits.
- Is confident asking for the sale.
- Understands objection handling, urgency, follow-up, and closing.
- Can balance empathy with the ability to move a customer toward a decision.
- Is motivated by significant earning potential and performance-based compensation.
Emotional Intelligence and Empathy. This is one of the most important aspects of the position. The patients may have deep emotional pain surrounding their teeth and appearance. They may have experienced years of embarrassment, low confidence, difficulty eating, social isolation, or frustration with their dental health.
You must be able to have emotionally sensitive conversations without becoming uncomfortable or transactional. They are looking for someone who can:
- Listen deeply and ask meaningful questions.
- Recognize emotional buying motivations.
- Make patients feel heard, respected, and understood.
