Qualifications- BS/MS/PhD in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field with 8+ years (BS) or 6+ years (MS) or 0-2 years (PhD) of relevant industry experience
- Excellent knowledge of upstream and downstream processing of oligonucleotides
- Experience with Äkta
100 oligonucleotide synthesizer - Experience with Mermade
192 and Mermade
12 synthesizers is a plus - Experience with HPLC purification and analytics of guide RNA preferred
- Experience with enzymatic ligation techniques is a plus
- Experience using ELNs to document experimental results is a plus
- Developing processes and implementing strategies for internal production of guide RNA to support platform research and pre‑clinical activities
- Optimizing synthetic reactions and purification methods of drug candidates to ensure scalable and cost‑effective processes for oligonucleotide manufacturing
- Working in collaboration with the Internal Manufacturing team during process transfer
- Participate in cross‑functional teams and training to gain familiarity in all stages of oligonucleotide research and manufacturing
- Supporting the CMC teams management of external vendors
You are a skilled, tenacious, and self‑motivated individual capable of developing robust processes for synthesizing and purifying complex oligonucleotides. You can operate in a fast‑paced environment, troubleshoot instruments, reduce workflow inefficiencies, and document operations independently as well as part of a team. You are experienced with, and can independently operate, a Cytiva Äkta
100 to synthesize oligonucleotides. You are familiar with standard cleavage and deprotection procedures as well as TFF operation. You are equipped with strong communication skills, which will be pertinent for presenting data internally and cross‑functionally. You enjoy overcoming challenges in collaboration with colleagues.

CompensationThe stated base salary range represents Tessera’s good‑faith estimate for this role. Actual compensation will be determined based on a number of factors, including but not limited to individual qualifications, years of relevant experience, internal compensation alignment, and external market data.

Per Year Salary Range: $109,000 - $124,000 USD
