** ROLE & SCOPE:*
* Under general supervision, the Gas Service Technician D is responsible for performing assigned duties including Install, set, remove, transfer, turn on and turn off meters; diagnose problems, meter , appliance relighting, maintenance & inspection and other assigned work, in accordance with Company Safety Standards, and in compliance with Company, State, and Federal Codes and Regulations for duties described   Gas Service Technician D is responsible for successfully completing all OJT tasks and examinations as required

** QUALIFICATIONS*
* 1  Must pass the EEI CAST Test

2  This position will require the satisfactory completion of a pre screening  for new hires , completion of company training programs, evaluations and written test

3  Qualified applicants must pass a pre employment/pre placement drug test in accordance with D O T regulations

4  Must possess a valid Driver's License and maintain a clean driving record

5  High School Diploma or GED required  Vocational, mechanical, or plumbing training is highly preferred

6  Ability to work independently and outdoors in all types of varying weather conditions  Must be physically capable of walking long distances while carrying gas meters/tools

7  Must have 2 years of related mechanical experience, gas utility experience preferred

9  Must have a history of safe working habits
