Under general supervision, the Gas Service Technician D is responsible for performing assigned duties including install, set, remove, transfer, turn on and turn off meters; diagnose problems, meter, appliance relighting, maintenance & inspection and other assigned work, in accordance with Company Safety Standards, and in compliance with Company, State, and Federal Codes and Regulations for duties described. Gas Service Technician D is responsible for successfully completing all OJT tasks and examinations as required.

• Must pass the EEI CAST Test.
• Satisfactory completion of a pre-screening, company training programs, evaluations and written test.
• Pre‑employment/pre‑placement drug test in accordance with D.O.T regulations.
• Valid Driver's License and maintain a clean driving record.
• High School Diploma or GED required; vocational, mechanical or plumbing training highly preferred.
• Ability to work independently and outdoors in varying weather conditions; physically capable of walking long distances while carrying gas meters/tools.
• Minimum 2 years of related mechanical experience; gas utility experience preferred.
• History of safe working habits.
