The City of Somerville is seeking a skilled fleet mechanic to repair and maintain motor equipment (DPW, Public Safety vehicles) including diagnostic work on gasoline and diesel engines. The role requires hands-on engine, electrical, A/C, and transmission repairs, welding, and occasional supervision of a small crew.
Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent, two years of auto repair experience, welding skills, and a valid Class B Massachusetts CDL.
