Overview
For Build, powered by dancker, is seeking a Business Development Leader for our For Build business unit, delivering specialty construction solutions. This leader will elevate dancker’s market position by expanding beyond modular construction to a broader spectrum of architectural and interior solutions. The ideal candidate will foster strong relationships with architects, owners, general contractors, and other industry professionals to drive long-term business growth.
You will identify and pursue opportunities in modular/prefabricated construction, casework, acoustical solutions, interior glazing, architectural specialties, and more.

Key Responsibilities- Strategic Growth
:
Drive For Build's growth by identifying new opportunities across the construction spectrum including modular/prefabricated construction, casework, acoustical solutions, interior glazing, architectural specialties, and more. - Client Relationships
:
Leverage and expand your network of architects, developers, general contractors, and other key stakeholders to generate project leads and cultivate long-term client partnerships. - Sales Leadership
:
Act as a solutions-oriented sales leader, guiding clients through dancker’s full range of services (specialty construction, furniture, A/V technology, logistics, lab solutions, and more). Demonstrate expertise in matching customer needs with construction-focused solutions. - Pipeline Development
:
Build and manage a multi-million-dollar pipeline of high-quality project opportunities aligned with For Build’s strategic goals. - Innovative Solutions
:
Promote dancker’s value as an integrator by focusing on construction innovation and architectural products. - Market Insight
:
Stay informed on trends and opportunities in the NJ and NY construction and real estate markets, positioning For Build to seize new opportunities. - Thought Leadership
:
Maintain active memberships in relevant professional organizations and attend industry events to keep For Build at the forefront of market discussions and developments.
- Education or training in Construction Management, Architecture/Design, Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of business development experience in construction, engineering, real estate, or related fields, with a strong focus on the NJ/NY market.
- Demonstrated success in developing and maintaining high-level client relationships and delivering business growth.
- Industry Expertise
:
Strong knowledge of the commercial construction industry, including modular/prefabricated products, architectural elements, interior and tenant fit out. - Sales & Solutions Mindset
:
Proven ability to identify customer needs and present comprehensive solutions that address both immediate and long-term project goals. - Collaborative Focus
