School Psychologist | Somerville

Make a meaningful impact supporting middle school students as a School Psychologist in a dynamic educational environment. This contract position focuses on grades 6-8, working with approximately 40 students, and is an excellent opportunity for professionals passionate about student well‑being and educational growth. Youll collaborate closely with staff and parents to help students meet their individual goals, with workdays running from 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday, starting September 1st through December 23rd, 2026.

• Certification as a School Psychologist
• Experience working with middle school students preferred
• Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to conduct evaluations and interpret assessment results
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment

• Collaborate with school staff to ensure students IEPs are implemented effectively
• Participate in team meetings with educators and guardians to review progress and update plans as needed
• Conduct thorough evaluations to support student needs and educational planning
• Serve as a resource for staff regarding behavioral, social, and emotional interventions
• Maintain accurate and confidential records for all assigned students
