Within OTI, the Office of Data Strategy (ODS) partners with City agencies to improve data‑driven decision‑making and deliver services more equitably and effectively. ODS supports agency operations through data analytics, enhances the accessibility of Open Data, and develops the infrastructure for secure inter‑agency data sharing. The office also focuses on automating data integration, strengthening data quality, and improving the City's data sharing platforms and user experience.

• Lead, mentor, and provide technical direction to system administrators and technical staff.
• Oversee the day‑to‑day operation, reliability, security, and performance of infrastructure and platform services.
• Design, implement, and support cloud and on‑premises infrastructure solutions.
• Drive Dev Ops best practices, including Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD, automation, observability, and security.
• Partner with application development teams to improve deployment, platform reliability, and developer productivity.
• Serve as the primary technical escalation point for complex infrastructure and application issues.
• Establish standards for monitoring, disaster recovery, resiliency, capacity planning, and performance optimization.
• Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous service improvement.
• Act on behalf of the Senior Director for technical and operational matters, including team coordination, as required.

Day - Due to the necessary technical duties of this position in a 24/7 operation, candidate may be required to work various shifts such as weekends and/or nights/evenings.

1. A master's degree in computer science from an accredited college or university and three (3) years of progressively more responsible, full‑time, satisfactory experience in Information Technology (IT) including applications development, systems development, data communications and networking, database administration, data processing, or user services. At least eighteen (18) months of this experience must have been in an administrative, managerial or executive capacity in the areas of applications development, systems development, data communications and networking, database administration, data processing or in the supervision of staff performing these duties;

or

2. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university and four (4) years of progressively more responsible, full‑time, satisfactory experience as described in "1" above; or

3. A four‑year high school diploma or its educational equivalent, and six (6) years of progressively more responsible, full‑time, satisfactory experience as described in "1" above; or

4. A satisfactory combination of education and experience equivalent to "1", "2" or "3" above. However, all candidates must have at least a four‑year high school diploma or its educational equivalent and must possess at least…
