Raritan Valley Community College is currently accepting resumes for a Part‑Time Custodian.

• Perform a wide variety of routine cleaning duties in campus buildings and on campus grounds, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting and general labor.
• Maintain restrooms by cleaning walls, sinks, fixtures, toilets and mirrors; replenish towels, tissues and soap dispensers; and notify the Custodial Supervisor of paper and cleaning product inventory in writing.
• Report any damage, leaks, lighting or equipment malfunctions in the buildings or grounds to the Custodial Supervisor in writing.
• Empty interior and exterior trash receptacles; perform recycling duties; remove trash from parking lots and grounds; clean entrances to buildings and keep debris free from interior and exterior areas; wash exterior windows.
• Perform work assigned by the Custodial Supervisor, including assisting staff with set‑ups of special events, furniture moves and college activities.
• Clear snow and ice from entrance ways, walkways, and steps; shovel or sweep areas; and operate snow blowers and salt spreaders.
• Attend and complete training and safety meetings.

• 6 months to 1 year of previous custodial experience.
• Ability to lift and carry at least 50 pounds.
• Flexibility of schedule is imperative; availability to work any shift or day of the week may be required.
• Willingness to work inside and outside in inclement weather.

• High School diploma or GED.
• Valid New Jersey Driver's License.
