Manufacturing Production, Packaging Engineer
1st Shift: Packaging Tech
Location: Branchburg, NJ 08876
Pay Rate: $20.00 – $22.00/hr, paid weekly
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 1st Shift
The Packaging Tech is responsible for the labeling, inspection, and packaging of final container products using both manual and automated systems. This role ensures that all manufacturing activities comply with regulatory requirements, Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Key ResponsibilitiesProduction & Equipment Operation
Packaging & Labeling: Operate filling, labeling, and packaging equipment of varying complexity to produce finished intermediates and final kits.
Equipment Setup: Assist in the set-up, change-over, and daily operation of labeling and packaging machinery.
Aseptic Operations: If assigned to Filling Operations, perform aseptic gowning and execute all filling tasks within a sterile, aseptic environment.
Quality Control & Compliance
Inspections: Perform in-process quality checks including Fill Checks, Torque Checks, Vision System Checks, and Label Alignment Checks.
Defect Detection: Inspect products for defects to ensure 100% conformance to quality standards and ISO/cGMP requirements.
Environmental Monitoring: Conduct scheduled environmental monitoring activities within the Filling Suites as required.
Documentation & Logistics
Records Management: Complete all necessary Production Manufacturing Records (PMRs) and perform associated SAP transactions for lot numbers, expiration dates, and reconciliations.
Data Entry: Responsible for data entry and imprinting computer-generated labels.
Warehousing: Perform picking, issuing, returns, shipping, receiving, and internal distribution of goods according to defined procedures.
Sanitation: Clean and decontaminate work surfaces and maintain the production area in accordance with safety and QSR requirements.
Technical Skills & Physical Demands:
Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with cGMP, ISO, and SOP standards in a manufacturing environment.
System Proficiency: Ability to perform data entry and use SAP for production tracking.
Physical Ability: Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods.
PPE: Ability to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and perform aseptic gowning where applicable.
Core Competencies:
Attention to Detail: Precision in performing quality checks and maintaining accurate documentation.
Manual Dexterity: Skilled in the manual handling of final container products and automated systems.
Communication: Ability to work effectively within a production team to meet daily manufacturing goals.
Interview Model: One round (In-person).
Shift: 1st Shift (Standard daytime hours).
