Job Title:

Registered Nurse (RN) – Endoscopy. RWJBarnabas Health Somerset is seeking a highly dedicated Registered Nurse for our Endoscopy Unit.

• The Registered Nurse provides nursing care within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards, and ensures awareness of ethical standards of practice as defined by the ANA code of ethics.
• Organize and administer individualized age‑specific professional care to patients within an assigned unit of the hospital to support medical care.
• Practice in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act, American Nurses Association Standards of Practice, Code of Ethics for Nurses, Department of Health Regulations, TJC requirements, and other regulatory agencies.
• Participate in patient teaching and discharge planning.
• Participate in unit performance improvement evaluation activities.

• Day shift, 40 hours per week.
• This is an 8‑hour shift, Monday–Friday.
• Mandatory on‑call shifts.
• On‑call shifts occur on the weekend, major holidays, and 6 p‑7 a Monday‑Friday.

• BSN or currently matriculating.
• Current New Jersey RN license required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required (American Heart Association only).
• 1–2 years RN experience required.
• Completion of all orientation requirements.

• Experience in an endoscopy area.
• Experience working in procedure rooms during colonoscopy, EGD, ERCP, EUS, etc. cases.
• Critical care experience.

Pay Range: $46.90 – $63.44 per hour.
