The RWJBarnabas Health New Graduate RN Residency program is a one-year training program designed for new graduate nurses to transition from student to professional practice in a supportive environment.

• Preceptor and relationship-guided transition program.
• Continuing education and ongoing professional development.
• Specialty specific foundational courses aligned with scope and standards of practice.
• Professional accountability and ethical practice inherent to nursing roles.
• Focus on patient safety, quality, and satisfaction.
• Self-care emphasis for safe and fulfilling nursing practice.
• Mentorship throughout the first year of practice and beyond.
• Hired into area of specialty.
• Variable day or night shift options.

• Graduate of an accredited ADN or BSN program.
• NJ RN licensure prior to date of hire.
• Less than 6 months of RN experience.
• Commitment to orientation requirements.
• BLS certification.

• BSN degree.
