Location: Field-based (Territory) | Requiring weekly attendance at the corporate office in Somerville, NJ every Monday at 10:00 AM.
Position OverviewMy client is seeking a dynamic, results-driven Outside Sales Representative to manage and expand their Southern New Jersey and Pennsylvania markets. As a vital member of their sales team, you will meet with customers on-site, serving as a consultative partner to help them grow their businesses with high-quality products you’ll be proud to deliver.
The ideal candidate brings deep industry expertise, an entrepreneurial mindset, and a proven track record of generating leads, building long-term client relationships, and driving territory revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities- Territory Growth
:
Develop and execute effective sales strategies to meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets within the Southern NJ and PA markets - Relationship Management
:
Identify potential clients and key decision-makers; establish, nurture, and maintain strong, trust-based relationships. - Consultative Selling
:
Conduct on-site product demonstrations and presentations that highlight the value, quality, and benefits of our offerings. - Deal Execution
:
Confidently negotiate contracts and pricing structures in alignment with corporate management guidelines. - Market Intelligence
:
Analyze regional market trends, tracking competitor activities to proactively adjust sales strategies and capture market share. - Collaboration & Reporting
:
Attend weekly sales meetings every Monday morning to expand product knowledge, share best practices, and collaborate with leadership.
- Experience
: 5-7 years of proven sales experience specifically within the metal supply/sales industry (Required). - Licensing
:
Valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record (Required). - Communication
:
Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly build rapport, present professionally, and influence decision-makers. - Sales Acumen
:
Strong negotiation and consultative selling skills with a track record of successfully closing deals. - Efficiency
:
Excellent organizational and time management skills to seamlessly balance regional travel, client meetings, and pipeline management. - Quarterly Commission based on territory sales performance
