Data Center Service Technician
Location: Piscataway, NJ

We are actively seeking experienced Data Center Service Technicians for immediate opportunities in the Piscataway, NJ area. This role is ideal for candidates with a strong background in structured cabling, data center infrastructure, and DCIM tools—specifically IM Vision
. Candidates should be comfortable working in fast-paced, mission-critical environments and be ready to contribute from day one.

Key Responsibilities- Utilize IM Vision (DCIM) for asset tracking, cable management, and infrastructure mapping within the data center
- Perform installation, routing, and dressing of CAT6 / CAT6A copper cabling in new construction and live data center environments
- Install, terminate, and test copper and fiber optic cabling systems
- Perform rack and stack installations
, including servers, switches, and patch panels - Install and build out server cabinets, ladder racks, J-hooks, and cable tray systems
- Terminate and troubleshoot fiber optic cabling
, including SC/LC connectors, splicing, and anaerobic terminations - Label, document, and maintain cabling infrastructure per industry and client standards
- Interpret and work from blueprints, schematics, and line diagrams
- Conduct cable testing, certification, and troubleshooting using appropriate tools
- Maintain clean and organized work spaces within data center environments
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in data center or commercial cabling environments
- Hands-on experience with IM Vision (DCIM) is required
- Strong understanding of BICSI, TIA/EIA, and NEC standards
- Experience with fiber optic installations
, splicing, and testing - Proficiency with rack and stack deployments and structured cabling systems
- Ability to run and bend conduit and use testing equipment such as digital multimeters
- Strong troubleshooting skills for network and connectivity issues
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Must have own basic telecom tools (punch down tools, snips, strippers, cordless drill, PPE, etc.)
- Reliable transportation and ability to work in a physically demanding environment
- Competitive pay: $25 – $40/hour
