Administrative Assistant – Culinary Department
Location:
El Dorado Kitchen, heart of beautiful Sonoma, CA
Hours:
28-32 hours per week
Compensation: $28–$30 per hour DOE
Applicants must be flexible to occasionally work weekends, holidays, or evenings based on business volume, events, and period‑end deadlines. Preferred bi‑lingual Spanish.
We’re looking for someone with strong administrative and organizational skills who takes pride in keeping operations running smoothly behind the scenes. This role requires bilingual fluency in English and Spanish to communicate effectively with kitchen and vendor teams. Prior F&B or hospitality experience is a plus, but what matters most is reliability, attention to detail, and comfort with the day‑to‑day systems of a busy kitchen (ordering, invoicing, scheduling, vendor coordination).

Be the Administrative Maestro:
- Manage digital inventory systems and maintain our recipe database
- Coordinate staff schedules and keep the team running like a well‑oiled machine
- Process invoices and track expenses (keeping the chefs from ordering gold‑plated whisks!)
- Create reports that transform mountains of data into actionable insights
Support Our Team:
- Help recruit culinary talent using HR platforms
- Coordinate onboarding and maintain employee records
- Track attendance and schedule training sessions
- Keep all documentation in perfect order
Keep Us Compliant:
- Maintain Health Department records (food safety is a big deal!)
- Track certifications and licenses
- Document temperature logs and sanitation audits
- Process and file incident reports
Become Our Communication Hub:
- Serve as the primary admin contact for kitchen operations
- Coordinate between departments to keep information flowing
- Schedule and organize kitchen meetings
- Maintain communication boards and announcements
- Wizard with Microsoft Office; can make Excel spreadsheets sing
- Organized enough to make Marie Kondo jealous
- Can juggle multiple tasks without dropping a single ball
- Thrives in a fast‑paced environment and can maintain your cool under pressure

- Enjoys being part of a passionate culinary team (even if you don’t cook)
- Associate degree in Business Administration, Office Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Two years in an administrative support role
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with data entry and records management
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field
- Previous restaurant or hospitality industry experience
- Familiarity with restaurant management software
- Experience processing invoices and purchase orders Spanish language skills
