Transcendence Theatre Company is looking for a powerfully present, wonderful organized, technically familiar 2026 Seasonal Production Manager to help lead the team to victory! Local to the NORTH BAY AREA is highly desired, our mainstage season includes "Ain't Too Proud:
The Life and Times of The Temptations", "Radio Recall", and "Mamma Mia".
Reporting to the Artistic Director, collaborate with Operations and Company Director(s). Supervises and supports the Technical Director and all production departments:
Stage Management, Lighting, Sound, and Scenic, Costume, and Properties for Summer season productions and events.

- Work with the Company and Operations Directors to create and detail the Company’s Production/Events calendar.
- Work with the Company Director to schedule and communicate Production Meetings, take all Production Meeting notes, distribute and archive all Production Meeting notes in a timely manner.
- Communicate with all production‑related vendors and contractors on production needs and schedules.
- Work with the Production Teams, Technical Director and Creative Teams, specifically the Production Designers, to coordinate the season rentals of:
Lighting, Staging/Scenery, Sound, Generator, Golf Carts – consult with Operations Director. - Collaborate with the Company Director in hiring: adjust existing job descriptions, post jobs online, compile and review applicants’ resumes, and schedule interviews with the most compatible applicants.
- Track budgets for production with the Business Team and Executive Director; communicate with production hires about budgets they may be responsible for. Complete any open Expensify/Ramp reports weekly on Fridays.
- Collaborate with Warehouse Manager using a project tracker to guide organization of production and events materials that need to be repaired, serviced, purchased, inventoried, etc. before the summer season.
- Assist the Technical Director with proper organization and coordination of the restoration of lighting, audio, costumes, props, and scenic elements after a production closes.
- Schedule all hourly seasonal employees with the Company and Operations Director to ensure cross‑checking of hours and proper payroll and budget management.
- Coordinate and plan site visits for production‑related events, along with Operations Director.
- Determine if additional trucks are required for load ins and outs; reserve them in advance and coordinate pickup with the Technical Director and Operations Director if needed.
- Create pull lists for all production‑related events in collaboration with the Technical Director, Operations Director, and other Transcendence staff.
- Lead safety orientations with the Technical Director, Operations Director, and Company Director.
- Coordinate or supervise execution of technical elements and requests during production.
- Load ins/load outs: create a schedule for all Load Ins, Load Outs, Rehearsals, and Events. Supervise the loading of trucks; coordinate the purchase and set up of hospitality items (Ice, Water, Liquid IV) with the Company Director; ensure availability of coolers and tables; announce and track breaks for the crews; supervise set up and installation of all production‑related items.
- Rehearsal/Production: coordinate with the Technical Director, Company Director, and Stage Management for all rehearsal needs; coordinate with the music team for band rehearsal and sitz/vandal probe needs; assist with set up of band rehearsal and sitz/vandal probe; attend Designer Run.
- Additional related duties as discussed with the Artistic Director.
$1,325.00 – $1,425.00 per week
