** POSITION SUMMARY
** The STEM Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and delivering engaging STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics), technology, and Maker programming for TK–8th grade members across Boys & Girls Clubs of Sonoma Valley (BGCSV) sites. This position plans and facilitates high-quality, hands-on learning experiences while supporting program consistency, classroom management, and youth engagement. Daily, this position works directly with our members not only in STEM based programming, but also all BGCSV programming when needed.

The STEM Coordinator serves as a resource for staff implementing STEM programming by providing guidance on curriculum, technology, equipment, and best practices. This role coordinates materials, maintains specialized learning spaces, and supports program quality through collaboration with site leadership and the Sr. Director of Program Quality & Training.

* ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

** Direct Program Facilitation, Youth Engagement & Program Quality
* Lead and facilitate engaging STEM, technology, and Maker activities for TK–8th grade members while maintaining safe, structured, and inclusive learning environments that align with BGCSV expectations and required supervision ratios of 1:20.
* Provide active supervision of members during all program hours to ensure safety, positive behavior, and meaningful engagement.
* In partnership with the Sr. Directo of Program Quality and Training, plan, prepare, and deliver developmentally appropriate STEM lessons and hands-on learning experiences that encourage creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving.
* Recruit and encourage youth participation in STEM programming through engaging activities and relationship building.
* Build positive relationships with members while promoting a welcoming, inclusive, and youth-centered environment.
* Facilitate Power Hour academic support sessions as needed, assisting members with homework completion, academic enrichment, and skill development.
* Promote STEM programming through internal communications and collaborate with the Marketing Department to increase awareness and participation.

STEM Program Coordination & Implementation
* Coordinate and implement developmentally appropriate STEM and Maker programming across BGCSV sites.
* Ensure STEM programming aligns with BGCSV's mission, organizational priorities, program quality standards, and youth development best practices.
* Develop, organize, and maintain lesson plans, activity guides, and program resources that support consistent implementation.
* Modify activities to accommodate varying ages, learning styles, skill levels, and individual participant needs.
* Support STEM programming during the school year, summer programs, special events, and interdisciplinary initiatives.
* Complete required program documentation, attendance, reports, and outcome tracking.
* Research emerging STEM education trends, technology, and best practices to continuously improve programming.

Technology, Equipment & Learning Space Coordination
* Coordinate day-to-day use of specialized program environments, including the VCC (Computer Clubhouse), Makers Room, and STEM learning spaces at school sites.
* Maintain organized, safe, and functional STEM classrooms and technology labs.
* Coordinate the setup, breakdown, organization, and maintenance of STEM equipment and learning materials.
* Perform basic troubleshooting of computers, Chromebooks, robotics kits, tablets, cameras, 3D printers, and other STEM equipment.
