Position: Pool for Part-time Instruction, Department of Engineering and Computer Science

Duties of the Position

Responsibilities may include teaching graduate and upper‑division undergraduate courses in electrical and computer engineering. Assignments may include a lecture(s) and/or a laboratory section(s) of the Engineering courses.

Required Qualifications
  • MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
Preferred Qualifications
  • PhD in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent
  • Teaching experience at the university level
Rank and Salary
  • Full‑time, 15‑unit workload per semester
  • Salary commensurate with degree level and experience.
  • Anticipated hiring salary range: $5,507 - $6,677 per full‑time month.
  • Monthly base salary is prorated to the number of units worked and is paid in six monthly payments for each full semester.

Eligibility & Conditions

All employees must reside in the State of California. A background check (criminal records) must be completed satisfactorily before a position is offered. SSU cannot sponsor new H‑1B visas at this time. All offers are contingent upon documents showing legal eligibility to work in the United States.
