Cassidy Ranch is seeking an experienced, hands‑on Farm Manager to lead and oversee all aspects of our organic flower and vegetable production. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about regenerative agriculture, thrives both in planning and in the field, and enjoys leading a team in a dynamic, customer‑facing farm environment.
Our farm produces flowers and market garden‑style vegetables for our U‑Pick program, farm shop, wholesale accounts, and farmers markets. The Farm Manager will play a key leadership role in ensuring high‑quality production, efficient systems, and a thriving team culture.
Key Responsibilities- Farm Operations & Production
- Develop and execute annual crop plans for flowers and vegetables
- Oversee propagation, transplanting, direct seeding, planting, succession scheduling, and harvesting
- Implement and maintain organic and regenerative farming practices
- Manage soil health, fertility plans, composting, and crop rotations
- Monitor pest and disease pressure using organic management strategies
- Maintain production schedules to meet demand across U‑Pick, retail, wholesale, and market channels
- Ensure quality control standards for harvested flowers and produce
- Team Leadership & Management
- Supervise and work alongside farm crew in daily field operations
- Train team members in proper planting, harvesting, post‑harvest handling, and farm safety
- Create daily and weekly work plans to ensure efficient labor use
- Foster a collaborative, team‑oriented work culture
- Lead by example with a positive, solution‑oriented attitude
- Planning & Organization
- Coordinate seasonal production timelines and labor needs
- Track crop performance and adjust plans based on yield and demand
- Manage inventory for seeds, supplies, and farm inputs
- Collaborate with farm shop and sales teams to forecast availability
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience growing flowers and/or market garden‑style organic vegetables
- Strong working knowledge of organic and regenerative farming practices
- Experience with crop planning and succession planting
- Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate a team
- Willingness to both plan/organize and actively work in the field daily
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Valid driver’s license preferred
- Passionate about sustainable agriculture and soil health
