Position OverviewThe Donum Estate is currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Hospitality Host/Maitre’d to join our team. The role is a hybrid of greeter (Maitre’d) and wine educator, reporting directly to the director of Hospitality.
Duties and Responsibilities- Greet and welcome guests to The Donum Estate. Manage all seating and arrivals on the Tock Reservation system as guests arrive.
- Host guests for an educational and memorable visit to the estate, creating memories through storytelling and sharing knowledge of winemaking and viticulture techniques.
- Strive to create and cultivate meaningful relationships with members and guests through approachable, friendly interaction.
- Drive membership and wine sales; hosts are evaluated on wine sales, membership sign‑ups, and Donum’s core behaviors of Belief, Teamwork, and Excellence.
- Create and maintain a guest‑oriented environment focused on building relationships and loyalty.
- Be well‑versed and passionate about wine and art, continually learning about the wine industry, farming, production, and art to build rapport and educate guests and members.
- Input orders and maintain guest notes accurately and timely through the CRM system.
- Maintain a clear understanding of The Donum Estate—wine, vineyards, winemaking, art, community, and values.
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills with impeccable attention to detail.
- Focused, driven to deliver excellence in every regard.
- Highly goal‑oriented, possessing tenacity, prioritization, agility, and perseverance to achieve and exceed goals and expectations.
- A thoughtful, creative, analytic mindset and approach.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Solid wine knowledge.
- Must be over 21 years old.
- Hold a Responsible Beverage Certificate.
- Hold a Food Handler Certification.
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
- Valid driver’s license to drive RTVs.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Occasional bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Work is performed both indoors and outdoors, including summer and winter conditions. Able to stand and walk throughout the day.
- Frequent interaction with winery colleagues, external service providers, and vendors.
Salary Range: $20–$30 per hour depending on experience.
