National Account Manager – B2B Wine Sales
We fund and source directly from independent winemakers to bring customers better quality wine for a better price. No thirsty middlemen as far as the eye can see. We are one of the United States' favorite wine clubs, shipping over 1 million cases a year to curious wine lovers, and we have no plans to pause our growth.
Key Responsibilities- Cultivate B2B Partnerships:
Proactively identify, engage, and secure high‑volume corporate accounts, focusing on major U.S. retail groups, grocery chains, and regional wine shop networks. - Manage Complex Contracts:
Pitch, negotiate, and finalize Private Label and Controlled Label wine agreements, ensuring win‑win commercial terms. - Expand Market Reach:
Maximize portfolio placement across multiple channels by leveraging and growing a strong network of retail buyers, industry brokers, and travel‑retail accounts such as airlines and cruise ships. - Capitalize on Global Trends:
Partner with the VP of B2B to refine our private‑label value proposition, identifying market gaps and capturing high‑margin international opportunities. - Collaborate Internally:
Work seamlessly with internal Buying, Planning, Winemaking, and Procurement teams to ensure newly closed transactions are executed accurately and efficiently. - Manage Your Pipeline:
Autonomously oversee your sales pipeline from cold outreach to final execution, maintaining high organizational standards to meet timelines.
- Wine Industry Expertise:
Extensive background in B2B wine sales with a record of closing high‑volume commercial deals, especially within the U.S. or California markets. - Established Industry Network: A strong, reliable network of pre‑existing contacts and relationships with corporate retail chain buyers, large‑scale wine shops, and supermarkets.
- Commercial Strategy:
Sound knowledge of Private Labeling mechanics, national distribution networks, compliance requirements, and import/export dynamics. - Collaborative Mindset:
An entrepreneurial, proactive attitude with the capability to navigate ambiguity, solve problems, and build strong, cooperative working relationships. - Superb Communication:
Exceptional presentation and relationship‑management skills, especially when delivering pitches to Category Managers. - Operational Readiness:
Proficiency with MS Office or Google Workspace tools, a detail‑oriented approach to office procedures, eligibility to work in the U.S., and a minimum age of 21. - Be responsible for upholding company mission, vision, and values.

- Round 1 – Hiring Manager Interview (45 min): A deeper dive into your private‑label market experience and B2B network with VP of B2B Sales.
- Round 2 – Panel Interview (45 min):
Discussion with Senior Legal Counsel, Finance Director of Global Operations, or COO and Wine Director. - Round 3 – Final Interview (30 min):
Meeting with the Chief Financial Officer.
- 8+ years of B2B wine sales experience, primarily in the U.S. market, with a verifiable track record of high‑volume deals (California experience highly desired).
- Active, high‑quality network of contacts with major wine buyers at corporate retail chains, supermarkets, and large‑scale wine shops.
- Commercial acumen: solid knowledge of Private Labeling mechanics, national distribution and import/export dynamics; wine compliance experience is a plus.
- A “hunter” mindset with a proven passion for sales negotiation and a history of driving complex deals to completion.
- Entrepreneurial, self‑starter attitude with the ability to navigate ambiguity and implement strategic solutions.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship‑management skills suitable for category‑manager pitches.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and/or Google Workspace.
