Mother Lode Adventist Junior Academy is seeking a dynamic, mission-driven high school teacher to join our growing program. As we expand to include 12th grade this coming school year
, we are looking for educators who are passionate about Adventist education and excited to help build and strengthen a developing high school. We are looking for a math teacher that can possibly teach in another area as well.
Mother Lode Adventist Junior Academy is a Christ-centered school committed to academic excellence, spiritual growth, and strong community relationships. Our expanding high school program provides a unique opportunity for teachers to play a key role in shaping curriculum, culture, and student experience during an exciting time of growth.
Primary Responsibilities- Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based instruction in assigned subject areas
- Develop lessons that promote critical thinking, problem-solving, and student engagement
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs
- Assess student progress regularly and maintain accurate academic records
- Integrate faith and learning in all subject areas
- Lead students in prayer, worship, and spiritual discussions
- Model Christ-like character and support the spiritual development of students
- Contribute to the continued growth and development of the high school program
- Collaborate with colleagues to strengthen curriculum and student opportunities
- Support extracurricular activities, athletics, and student life as needed
- Maintain clear communication with students, parents, and staff
- Work collaboratively with school leadership and the Central California Conference of Seventh-day Adventists Office of Education
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events
- Be an active member in the local church
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field
- Valid NAD teaching credential (or eligibility to obtain one)
- Ability to teach one or more of the listed subject areas
- Commitment to the mission and values of Seventh-day Adventist education
- Strong classroom management and instructional skills
- Experience teaching high school students (Preferred)
- Ability to teach multiple subject areas
- Experience in small school or growing program environments
- Willingness to be flexible and collaborative in a developing high school setting
