ISO Workforce Alliance is partnering with a school district in
Sonora, California
to identify a qualified
School Psychologist
to support students ages 0–22 through psycho educational assessment, consultation, intervention, and collaboration with school teams and families.
This is an in-person role focused on assessment, IEP support, crisis response, and preventive mental health services within a special education framework.
Role SummaryUnder the direction of the Director of Special Education, the School Psychologist provides psycho educational evaluations, consultative services, counseling, and behavioral intervention support for students with learning, emotional, and adjustment needs. This role is a key member of the IEP and Educational Assessment teams.
Key ResponsibilitiesConduct psycho educational evaluations for referred students (ages 0–22)
Prepare written evaluation reports covering cognitive, affective, and sensorimotor domains
Participate as a member of IEP and Educational Assessment Service teams
Provide consultation to teachers, administrators, and families
Assist in the development of behavior plans, instructional strategies, and intervention plans
Provide short-term counseling and crisis intervention for students and families
Deliver preventive mental health services such as classroom presentations and stress reduction programs
Participate in parent-teacher conferences and placement meetings
Support ongoing re-evaluations in accordance with legal mandates
Assist in the development of Special Education policies and procedures
Knowledge & SkillsChild development and learning theory
Assessment tools and psycho educational testing procedures
Instructional materials and intervention strategies
Multicultural considerations in assessment and service delivery
Core AbilitiesBuild positive relationships with students, families, and school staff
Identify learning strengths and areas of need
Develop appropriate instructional and behavioral interventions
Analyze student data and translate findings into meaningful recommendations
Required QualificationsValid
California Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) Credential
with authorization in
School Psychology
Ability to pass required employment entrance exams
Experience with preschool populations preferred but not required
Compensation$85–$95/hour
, depending on experience
