Registered Nurse Emergency Room

Job Summary:

Provides expert nursing care to emergency patients by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating their treatment plans. Supervises and coordinates the activities of nursing staff and collaborates closely with the healthcare team to ensure quality, safe, and efficient patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care by performing initial assessments and ongoing evaluations of emergency patients.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and clinical protocols.
• Coordinate and supervise nursing team members, ensuring adherence to standards and proper delegation of tasks.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to facilitate timely interventions and treatments.
• Provide patient education and family support to promote understanding and engagement in care.
• Participate in discharge planning and ongoing patient care continuity to ensure optimal recovery.

Qualifications:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice.
• Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• AHA-ACLS and PALS or ARC-ALS and PALS certifications.
• Minimum of two years recent experience in emergency or acute care setting.
• Proficient in electronic health record systems, such as EPIC.
• Demonstrates strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
