Application Engineer

Position Summary

Applications Engineer – Full‑time – South Beloit, IL. Fives Landis Corp (Gardner Abrasives) seeks a candidate to support customers and the sales team with technical advice, product information, and market growth opportunities.

• Demonstrate value of Gardner Abrasives products and cost savings to customers.
• Support sales team in identifying new business and market growth opportunities.
• Provide quotations, product descriptions, material and geometry specifications.
• Interact with manufacturing to learn, test, and improve product performance.

• Preferred background in manufacturing, industrial, or mechanical engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience (sales, application, machining, cutting‑tool or grinding experience a plus).
• Strong interpersonal and relationship‑building skills.
• Self‑starter, customer‑orientated, and solution‑driven.

• Salary range: $75K – $90K, commensurate with experience.
