Role Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Machinist to join our team on a full-time basis. This on-site role, based in Rockford, IL, involves programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines to produce high-quality parts that meet precise specifications. Responsibilities include reading and interpreting blueprints, conducting quality checks, troubleshooting equipment, and collaborating with the engineering team to ensure optimal manufacturing processes.

Additionally, the Machinist will perform maintenance on machinery and stay informed about industry best practices.

Qualifications
  • Proficiency in CNC machine operation, programming, and setup
  • Strong understanding of blueprint reading, measurements, and GD&T
  • Experience with 5-axis machining and working with various materials, including metals and plastics
  • Knowledge of machining processes, tools, and equipment maintenance
  • Attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with teams and communicate clearly
  • Experience in prototype or low-volume production is a plus
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification in machining is preferred
  • Commitment to adhering to quality and safety standards
