MIG Welder | 2nd shift

Welder | Monday - Friday (2:30pm - 11:00pm). Additional hours may be required based on business needs.

Pay rate: $22.50 - $27.00/hr DOE

The MIG Welder is responsible for performing MIG welding processes to assemble and manufacture metal products, structures, and components in accordance with specifications, engineering drawings, and quality standards. This position supports production operations through safe, accurate, and efficient welding, fabrication, inspection, and equipment operation.

This role encompasses three skill levels (Level I, II, and III) based on demonstrated welding proficiency, technical knowledge, experience, quality performance, and the ability to perform increasingly complex welding assignments. Employees may be required to work in various departments and manufacturing areas based on business needs.

• Perform MIG welding operations to assemble metal components, structures, and finished products according to specifications and quality standards.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and welding symbols to determine welding requirements.
• Prepare materials for welding by cleaning, grinding, cutting, positioning, and fitting components.
• Set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment, tools, and machinery.
• Conduct equipment inspections, routine maintenance, and troubleshooting as appropriate.
• Inspect completed welds and fabricated products to verify compliance with quality requirements and specifications.
• Identify, report, and correct welding defects or inconsistencies.
• Maintain accurate production, inspection, and material usage records.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including required use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and team members to meet production objectives.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and operational efficiency efforts.
• Provide training, guidance, and technical support to less experienced welders, as appropriate based on assigned level.
• Work across departments, buildings, and production areas as required to support business needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Welding certification, vocational training, or equivalent education preferred.
• Entry-level welding experience or successful completion of a welding training program.
• Demonstrates foundational MIG welding knowledge and skills.

• Ability to interpret complex blueprints, troubleshoot routine welding issues, and maintain consistent quality standards.

• Demonstrated expertise in performing complex welding assignments and mentoring less experienced team members.
