Position Summary

Fives Landis Corp. – (Gardner Abrasives) is actively seeking an Electro/Mechanical Technician to join its team in South Beloit, IL. As the Electro/Mechanical Technician, you will join our local division, Gardner Abrasives, a global leader in high‑precision abrasive grinding wheels since 1905.

$32‑$37/hr based on experience.

• Electrical troubleshooting skills should include AC / DC equipment power and control circuitry (examples: motors, relays, contractors, VFDs, limit switches and proximity sensors, etc.).
• Diagnose problems, plan corrective action, and complete repair requirements to restore machines and equipment to full operating condition, with a strong electrical focus.
• Capable of reading and comprehending machine and equipment maintenance manuals, related parts diagrams, prints and electrical schematics.
• Strong problem solving skills to troubleshoot new and antiquated custom equipment.
• Contribute to planning and repair stages of machine and equipment installation and rebuild projects.
