Senior Accountant

Overview

Adams Remco is growing. We operate across Indiana, Michigan, and Florida in office technology, managed IT, production print, and commercial signage. We are hiring a strong, experienced accountant who can own the numbers, protect margins, and support executive decision-making.

This is not a transactional bookkeeping role. This is a hands-on accounting position inside a multi-division, fast-moving organization.

The Accountant will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, maintain accurate financial records, and deliver timely reporting across multiple business units. You will work directly with leadership to ensure financial discipline, visibility, and compliance.

• Manage general ledger, journal entries, and monthly close
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and intercompany accounts
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
• Monitor cash flow and working capital
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting
• Support multi-entity accounting and consolidated reporting
• Maintain fixed asset schedules and depreciation
• Coordinate with external CPA firm on tax filings and audits
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls
• Assist leadership with financial analysis and performance metrics
• Identify process improvements and cost control opportunities

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong understanding of GAAP
• Experience with multi-entity or multi-location accounting preferred
• Proficiency in accounting software (Quick Books, Sage, or ERP systems)
• Advanced Excel skills
• Experience preparing financial statements independently
• Strong reconciliation and analytical skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to manage deadlines and work independently

• Experience in distribution, equipment leasing, service industries, or manufacturing
• Familiarity with job costing or project-based accounting
• Experience supporting acquisitions or business integrations
