Location: Fully Onsite

Salary: $120,000 – $150,000

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Tax Manager to join our team in a key leadership role. The ideal candidate will be a CPA with at least 10 years of progressive tax experience and a strong background in tax planning, compliance, and financial strategy. This position requires a creative and collaborative professional who can effectively communicate complex tax matters, build strong relationships across the organization, and identify opportunities to improve tax processes and minimize risk.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage federal, state, and local tax compliance, ensuring accurate and timely filings.
  • Lead tax planning and strategy initiatives while identifying opportunities to optimize the organization's overall tax position.
  • Research and interpret changes in tax laws and regulations and communicate their impact to executive leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Partner with accounting, finance, and operational teams to ensure accurate tax reporting and compliance.
  • Manage relationships with external tax advisors, auditors, and regulatory agencies as needed.
  • Review tax provisions, reconciliations, and supporting schedules to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable accounting standards.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, strengthen internal controls, and improve tax reporting.
  • Support special projects, acquisitions, business initiatives, and other strategic activities from a tax perspective.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to accounting and finance team members while promoting a collaborative, high-performance environment.
Requirements
  • CPA certification required.
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive tax experience, preferably with a combination of public accounting and private industry experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Proven experience with tax planning, research, compliance, and tax strategy.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly explain complex tax matters to both financial and non-financial audiences.
  • Creative, strategic thinker with the ability to identify innovative solutions to complex tax and business challenges.
  • Highly collaborative and able to build strong relationships with cross-functional teams and executive leadership.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and tax/accounting software systems.
Compensation
  • Base Salary: $120,000 – $150,000
  • Fully Onsite Position
