DescriptionPOSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for the administration of accounts, involving one of the following areas: trusts, estates or agencies; represents the company in business activities and contacts with customers, attorneys, and beneficiaries relating to these accounts.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Sets up estates, trusts, agency accounts and guardian ships as assigned, typically those with routine administrative problems.
- Studies nominating instruments to determine terms, responsibilities and duties of the company.
- Carries out initial processing, such as preparing records, making payments for expenses, compiling inventories, and obtaining releases of assets.
- Administers assigned accounts in accordance with terms specified in trust instrument.
- Maintains contacts with customers to discuss and advise on problems, explain terms and specifications of the will and/or trust, and to arrange for payments acceptable under the terms of the trust.
- Recommends to senior officers the position the company should take on questions of a non-routine nature.
- Controls and oversees the maintenance of related records and files.
- Develops new business and confers with potential customers.
- Regular and predictable attendance is an essential requirement of the position.
- Responsible for the completion of all compliance training related to the position.
- Must understand all applicable laws and regulations that apply to the position and complies with the requirements.
NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Performs all other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS
- Two (2) to three (3) years trust experience preferred.
- Good PC skills--proficiency in Word and Excel essential.
- Ability to be proactive, take initiative, and carefully monitor, follow through, and complete every project/responsibility.
- Good written and verbal communications skills.
- Highly motivated.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Good relationship management skills.
EDUCATION
Bachelor‘s Degree preferred.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to travel as needed for meetings, projects, seminars, etc.
