Description
Position Responsibilities- Process and manage Workers’ Compensation claims from beginning to end.
- Maintain updated claim information in the operational software systems as required.
- Maintain and update logs and follow-up activities in the Workers’ Compensation system by due dates for later action.
- Maintain and process all documentation for Workers’ Compensation injury reports, including follow-up of all medical appointments, modified duty accommodations, drug-screen results when required, etc.
- Create and process all required Workers’ Compensation reports within the assigned frequency.
- Create and customize Workers’ Compensation reports for branches, RVP’s, upper management, and executives as requested.
- Manage reserves up to $10,000 working with the assigned claims adjuster.
- Manage reserve requests at levels above $10,000 to get approval following department protocol and completing all required documentation.
- Develop and provide resolution options/ideas for closure of claims.
- Process all Certificate of Insurance requests for assigned states and when assistance is needed with other states.
- Process all Worker’s Compensation Class Code requests in assigned states and when assistance is needed with other states.
- Log and review invoices, codes, and process to carrier/ TPA and/or Avid Xchange.
- Answer calls and other communications from field branches and profit centers.
- Provide consistent communication to branch offices field staff, profit centers, TPA and/or adjusters regarding all open claims.
- Update field staff and profit centers of claim status as appropriate.
- Provide consistent support, direction, and guidance to field staff and profit centers.
- Collaborate and provide documents and training for field staff and profit centers as needed.
- Maintain knowledge of any law changes relating to the Workers’ Compensation claims and insurance industry, including state specific changes.
- Maintain knowledge of workplace safety and health topics, including OSHA and other government regulations
- Provide support and assistance to other members of the Loss Control Services team.
- Maintain communication and collaboration with the Loss Control Services Supervisor including but not limited to all team members.
- Utilise corporate resources efficiently and appropriately.
- All other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma required
- 1 or more years of knowledge and experience related to Workers’ Compensation claims preferred
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities/projects
- Ability to meet deadlines

Physical Requirements:Typical office environment. To successfully perform the duties of this job, the staff associate must have the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel,crouchand manipulate light to medium weights of 10 – 50 pounds. Requires good hand/eye coordination, arm/hand/ finger dexterity including the ability to grasp and visual acuity to use a keyboard,operateoffice equipment and read and write the application information. The Collections Agent isfrequentlyrequired to sit, reach with hands and arms,talkand hear.
