Records Clerk
We are seeking two detail-oriented contractors to support a high-volume records management and archiving project. This role involves reviewing, organizing, and processing sensitive employee and business documents in accordance with internal retention policies. This is a great opportunity for individuals who are comfortable working independently and handling confidential information in a structured, process-driven environment.
Responsibilities:
- Review physical documents and files to determine retention versus disposal status.
- Apply internal document retention policies accurately and consistently.
- Organize and categorize large volumes of records.
- Prepare documents for secure disposal and coordinate with shredding services.
- Maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive information, such as personal data.
- Work independently to manage assigned workload and meet project timelines.
Essential
Skills:
- Experience in records management, document control, or file auditing.
- Experience working with sensitive or regulated information, such as medical records, HR files, or compliance-driven environments.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
- Basic clerical and administrative skills, including filing, organizing, and document review.
- Ability to read, interpret, and follow policies and procedures.
- Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.
Additional Skills &
Qualifications:
- Experience with HR records is a plus.
Work Environment:
The work schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with flexibility on the start time as long as an 8-hour workday is completed. The dress code is casual, with jeans and t-shirts being acceptable. The role will primarily involve spending time in a file room.

This is a Contract position based out of South Bend, IN.
Pay and Benefits:
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
