Job Objective:

To oversee and coordinate daily Industrial Services floor operations across the Michiana District by leading staff, maintaining a safe and efficient work environment, and ensuring customer requirements for quality, service, and value are consistently met. This position reports to Director of Operations of Industrial Services who evaluates performance annually.

Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Sewing personnel.
  • Assembly Packaging and Wiper personnel.
  • Industrial Services Truck Driver.
  • Clients assigned to department.
Essential Job Functions
  • Coordinate staffing, equipment, and materials to meet customer requirements and maintain efficient production workflows across Industrial Services operations.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for customer communication as assigned and support the development of project quotes in collaboration with the Director of Operations.
  • Oversee employee time and attendance, including reviewing and approving timecards, monitoring schedules, and addressing attendance concerns in accordance with policy.
  • Conduct annual performance reviews and provide ongoing feedback to support employee development.
  • Support and administer progressive discipline in accordance with organizational standards.
  • Participate in recruitment and staffing efforts, including interviews, hiring recommendations, onboarding, and training of new team members.
  • Review and audit completed work to ensure compliance with customer quality standards and promptly address variances or deficiencies.
  • Ensure accurate tracking and documentation of labor hours, production data, and required information for packing slips and invoicing.
  • Provide ongoing training, coaching, and performance feedback to employees and clients in partnership with Mission Services.
  • Oversee routine maintenance of packaging equipment and manage inventory levels for packaging materials and wiping cloths to support uninterrupted operations.
  • Manage inventory control data, order sheet administration, and product information systems to support efficient production operations. Ensure inventory records, forms, product images, and database entries in Thriftly and SUPRO are accurate, current, and compliant with company standards. Establish process continuity by cross-training and developing a secondary employee to perform these functions independently, while maintaining overall accountability, quality control, and strategic oversight of the process.

Qualifications
  • Required Education and

    Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, or the ability to obtain through The Excel Center.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher, with the ability to use technology to support reporting and communication needs.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and leadership skills with the ability to effectively supervise staff and coordinate multiple responsibilities.
  • Ability to learn, operate, and oversee the use of equipment utilized within the Industrial Services Department.
  • Ability to manage deadlines, prioritize work, and respond effectively to the demands of meeting customer requirements.
  • Ability to effectively manage the demands and pressures of meeting customer requirements.
  • Willingness and ability to learn job specific software, including internal systems and basic accounting or tracking programs.
  • Demonstrated empathy, professionalism, and understanding when working with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including employees and clients with varying needs.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
  • Must have reliable transportation, a current driver's license, and provide proof of insurance to travel to different job sites.
Qualifications
  • Authorized to work in the United States.
  • Flexible availability.
  • Able to frequently bend, twist, reach above shoulder level, push and pull, crouch or stoop, kneel, repetitively use feet, and use head and neck in a twisting or static motion and to look up and/or down, and lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to operate forklift (certification required), pallet jack, shrink and stretch wrap, bagging, carton taping machinery, other light industrial equipment or tools as needed.
