Construction General Laborer / Foreman

Construction Project Superintendent and Project Management Staff

Principal Objective of the Position:
As a Construction General Laborer/Foreman, you will work alongside the Construction Superintendent and carry out the daily duties and responsibilities that support the construction performance of field operations. This includes maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient construction site while supporting the overall project and providing leadership as a liaison with project team members, vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers, and demonstrating the characteristics of a Real America Construction Professional.

Qualifications/Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • CPM designation preferred
  • Valid Driver’s License and reliable private transportation
Experience/Skills
  • College degree in construction field or equivalent experience
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience in multi-family housing construction
  • Knowledge of project‑specific software including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.), Outlook, Procore, Blue Beam, and Adobe software
  • Hands‑on experience with smartphones, iPads, and tablets
  • Ability to work efficiently with numerous contractors and subcontractors
  • OSHA 30‑Hour Certification or willingness to obtain
  • CPR/AED Certification or willingness to obtain
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and preparing construction sites.
  • Loading and unloading materials and equipment.
  • Building and taking down scaffolding and temporary structures.
  • Digging trenches, compacting earth, and back filling holes.
  • Operating and tending machinery and heavy equipment.
  • Following instructions from supervisors and implementing construction plans.
  • Assisting skilled tradespeople in their duties.
  • Driving cost‑effective punch‑list repairs and coordination in the field.
  • Planning and coordinating punch work, turns, and additional field work with the Project Manager and Superintendent, maintaining a daily job‑site log, and processing daily reports and photos of completed work.
  • Coordinating all construction activities and subcontractors for the scope of work while collaborating with the onsite Superintendent and Project Manager.
  • Monitoring project status and maintaining appropriate building and on‑site control and representation to expectations.
  • Monitoring and directing daily job‑site clean‑up activities to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Ordering or requisitioning materials, supplies, tools, and scheduling equipment rentals as needed.
