We are seeking an experienced EHS Superintendent to support a large-scale, mission‑critical data center construction program in Northern Indiana. This role is responsible for leading Environmental, Health & Safety oversight across active construction sites, ensuring compliance, promoting a strong safety culture, and driving proactive risk mitigation across all project activities.
The ideal candidate will have experience working on large commercial, industrial, or mission‑critical construction projects and will be confident operating in fast‑paced, high‑complexity environments with multiple contractors and trades on site.
Responsibilities- Develop, implement, and enforce site‑specific safety plans and procedures
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and safety walks to ensure compliance
- Support and enforce OSHA regulations and company safety standards
- Lead site safety orientations, toolbox talks, and training sessions
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions; prepare detailed reports and corrective actions
- Work closely with project leadership, superintendents, and subcontractors to maintain a strong safety culture
- Monitor high‑risk activities including hot work, lifting operations, electrical work, and working at height
- Ensure proper documentation of safety records, permits, and compliance logs
- Coordinate with clients, EHS managers, and regulatory authorities as required
- Promote continuous improvement in safety performance across all project teams
- 5+ years of EHS experience within commercial, industrial, or mission‑critical construction environments
- Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and construction safety standards
- Experience working on large, multi‑trade job sites with high contractor activity
- Ability to lead safety initiatives across multiple subcontractors and disciplines
- Strong communication, leadership, and conflict resolution skills
- Experience in data center, industrial, or large infrastructure projects preferred
- OSHA 30 certification required (or equivalent); additional safety certifications preferred
- Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Construction Management, or related field is a plus
Candidates may come from general contractors, construction management firms, or large‑scale infrastructure projects with strong safety programs.
Experience supporting mission‑critical environments such as data centers, manufacturing facilities, airports, or complex commercial developments is highly desirable.
