Salary Range: Certified:
Contract hourly rate according to current teacher’s contract agreement. Also artists with experience may apply - hourly rate negotiated

Contract Length: Training Session (onsite) July 10, 2026 8:00 am to 12:00 pm. (hourly stipend provided) July 13, 2026: 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. July 13 - July 16, 2026: 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. July 17, 2026: 8:30 am to 1:30 pm.

Position Summary

Provide Migrant Summer School Administrator with student records, including daily attendance.

  • Teacher must attend training session as listed above.
  • Teachers must provide instruction to students in 8th to 12th grade.
Performance Responsibilities
  • Provide Art instruction to complete a capstone project.
  • Work collaboratively with MRSC and Bilingual Services Department staff.
  • Supervise and provide direction for classroom support staff to support instruction.
  • Provide differentiated instruction based on individual students’ needs.
  • May need to work in collaboration with another teacher.
Qualifications
  • Ability to understand and accept the philosophy of the Bilingual Services Department regarding Migrant students and/or English Learners.
  • Special experience in art working with capstone projects.
  • Ability to facilitate student‑centered, project‑based curriculum (must provide evidence).
  • Recent excellent classroom management skills and proven ability to work with 8th‑12th grade students.
  • Prefer a valid Indiana Teacher’s License in Art; will consider candidates with art experience.
Special Notation

The position requires staff to be present throughout the entire Summer Migrant Program. Vacations must be taken before the start date of July 13, 2026 and after July 17, 2026. The position also requires flexible scheduling.
