Middle School Science Teacher

Christ the King School is a faith-filled community rooted in the Holy Cross charism, committed to educating hearts and minds while forming students to be people of hope, compassion, and service. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Middle School Science Teacher who will inspire curiosity, foster critical thinking, and create meaningful learning experiences for students in grades 6–8.

The Middle School Science Teacher will be responsible for developing and delivering engaging science instruction that encourages exploration, collaboration, and academic growth while supporting the spiritual and personal development of students.   Create hands-on, engaging lessons that connect science concepts to real-world experiences and inspire student discovery.

• Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based science instruction for middle school students.
• Create a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment that supports student learning and growth.
• Incorporate hands‑on experiments, collaborative projects, and inquiry-based learning opportunities.
• Assess student progress regularly and communicate effectively with students and families.
• Collaborate with faculty and administration to support student success and school initiatives.
• Integrate faith, values, and the Holy Cross mission into classroom culture and instruction.
• Maintain classroom organization, grading, and lesson planning in a timely and professional manner.
• Participate in school events, faculty meetings, and professional development opportunities.

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Science, or a related field.
• Valid Indiana teaching certification or ability to obtain certification preferred.
• Experience teaching middle school students preferred.
• Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
• Ability to engage students through creative and interactive instruction.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Commitment to supporting the mission and values of a Catholic school rooted in the Holy Cross charism.
• Ability to complete Safe Environment training and required background checks.
