Position: Supervisor, Special Education Teacher at AB Staffing Solutions South Bend, IN

Supervisor, Special Education Teacher Needed in Mishawaka, IN

AB Staffing specializes in placing education providers in private and public schools across the United States. This role will allow you to showcase your educational expertise and impact students.

Pay:

$2,000-$2,200 per week.

Job Description:
  • Contract through the 25/26 school year.
  • The contract follows the academic district calendar – 37.5 to 40 hours per week.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Special Education from an accredited college or university.
  • Special Education Teaching certification in the state of Indiana.
  • Proficiency in the subject area; experience with case management, paperwork, compliance, and IEPs.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working as a special education teacher (or related field), with at least 1 year in a leadership role.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Initiative and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Physical requirements:

    ability to stand or sit for extended periods, see and read a computer screen and printed material with or without vision aids, hear and understand speech at normal levels, speak audibly, understand and follow oral and written instructions.
  • May include frequent walking, standing, stooping, lifting up to 25 pounds and occasional lifting of equipment or materials up to 40 pounds.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide guidance, mentoring, and professional development to special education teachers.
  • Conduct regular classroom observations and provide constructive feedback.
  • Assist in developing individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of specialized educational programs tailored to students with diverse learning needs.
  • Collaborate with school leadership to ensure special education services are integrated effectively into the school’s overall framework.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and district regulations regarding special education services.
  • Maintain accurate records for all students in special education, including IEPs, assessments, progress reports and other necessary documentation.
  • Monitor timelines for IEP meetings and ensure all required paperwork is completed on time.
