St. Joseph Grade School is seeking to hire a junior high math teacher to teach three sections of math (one 6th grade, one 7th grade, and one 8th grade). This position may be part-time or full-time depending on school needs.
Responsibilities include:- Planning and delivering high-quality lessons to promote student mastery of IN math standards while illuminating mathematical concepts and mathematical order as evidence of truth, beauty, and goodness
- Collaborating with other junior math and science teachers to create cross-curricular projects and assignments
- Differentiating instruction to support students across varying ability levels, ensuring that both those who struggle and those who need acceleration are challenged and supported
- Maintain consistent classroom routines that promote development of organizational skills, executive function, and a growth mindset toward challenging mathematical concepts
- 2+ years of experience teaching math to grades 5 and up preferred
- Indiana teaching license
