St. Joseph Grade School seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated, and faith-filled Kindergarten Teacher to facilitate the academic, spiritual, social, and emotional growth of young learners. You will create a supportive classroom environment and deliver evidence-based instruction that fosters growth in heart and mind.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate daily lesson plans aligned with the Indiana Academic Standards across all subjects, including math, reading, science, and social studies.
- Provide foundational literacy and math instruction rooted in the Indiana Science of Reading framework.
- Teach religion according to diocesan catechetical guidelines.
- Differentiate instruction to accommodate diverse learning styles, developmental levels, and individualized education programs (IEPs).
- Administer formative and summative assessments, including state-mandated kindergarten screeners in math and reading.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, evaluate learning outcomes, and report findings to administration and families.
- Cultivate a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment that fosters social-emotional learning, empathy, and cooperation.
- Enforce classroom rules and actively supervise students during instructional time, recess, and transitions.
- Maintain open, ongoing communication with parents and guardians regarding student growth, behavioral updates, and classroom activities.
- Facilitate regular parent-teacher conferences.
