Job DescriptionPOSITION TITLE: Librarian
SALARY RANGE: Teacher Contract
CONTRACT LENGTH: School Year
POSITION SUMMARY: The Librarian oversees the library and supervises the elementary library paraprofessionals.
IMMEDIATE SUPERVISORS: Building Principal and Director of Library Services
DUTIES:
- Selects and acquires appropriate library materials
- Teaches and encourages effective use of media to faculty and students
- Provides leadership in the use of technology and Internet research
- Coordinates the library program to support the educational goals
EXTRA DUTIES:
- Collaborate in PLC work
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and administration to develop unit lessons
- Engage in SIP plan support
- Co‑teach research units
QUALIFICATIONS: Indiana teacher certification and library endorsement
