Job DescriptionPOSITION TITLE: Librarian
SALARY RANGE: Teacher Contract
CONTRACT LENGTH: School Year
POSITION SUMMARY: The Librarian oversees the library and supervises the elementary library paraprofessionals.
IMMEDIATE SUPERVISORS: Building Principal and Director of Library Services
DUTIES: Selects and acquires appropriate library materials, teaches and encourages effective use of media to faculty and students; provides leadership in the use of technology and Internet research; coordinates the library program to support the educational goals.
EXTRA DUTIES: as assigned by principal which may include:
Collaborate in PLC work, collaborate with classroom teachers and administration to develop unit lessons, engage in SIP plan support. Co‑teach research units.
QUALIFICATIONS: Indiana teacher certification and library endorsement.
