7th Grade Language Arts Teacher

The language arts teacher will be responsible for providing effective instruction in Language Arts. Instruction must be driven by the common core standards. The teacher must implement learning activities that are relevant to the lives of the students. Students with IEP's will be mainstreamed in these classes. So the teacher must provide accommodations as written in the students' IEP's. Also, the teacher will have to work effectively with a special education co-teacher and para-professional.

As the lead teacher, it will be expected that the teacher will direct and supervise the para-professional. It will also be expected that the special education teacher and the language arts teachers will share in the planning of lessons and the delivery of instruction.

Principal

Duties:

• Teach language arts according to the Indiana Department of Education Common Core Standards.
• Attend Learning Log Meetings
• Success Class – math and language arts
• Maintain 8-Step Assessment Data
• Duties as assigned by principal

Qualification:

• English License or Endorsement
• Highly qualified
• Applicants must not have been evaluated as ineffective or recommended for probation assistance on their most recent evaluation.
