Step into a meaningful contract role focused on supporting the youngest learners as an on-site School Psychologist specializing in Pre-K services for a dynamic district near South Bend, IN. This position runs the full academic year from August 14, 2026, to June 4, 2027, and is designed for a passionate practitioner ready to make a lasting impact through early intervention.

In this role, you'll work primarily with Pre-K students, implementing the First Step Transition program to facilitate a positive start to school. Youll provide behavioral intervention services, teacher consultation, progress monitoring, and collaborate closely with families to promote school readiness, social-emotional growth, and constructive classroom behavior. With a typical caseload of about 70 children, your expertise will be central to successful preschool evaluations and multidisciplinary team assessments.

What Were Looking For:

  • Valid School Psychologist certification/licensure (Indiana preferred).
  • Experience with preschool or early childhood interventions.
  • Familiarity with multifaceted behavioral support models and the First Step Transition program is a plus.
  • Demonstrated skill in collaborating with multidisciplinary teams (including OT, PT, SLP, Autism Consultant, TOR, and nursing staff).
  • Effective communication skills for working with children, caregivers, and educators.
  • Availability to work 35 hours per week, with occasional flexibility as needed.
  • Commitment to on-site work; remote or virtual services are not part of this position.

What Youll Do:

  • Guide Pre-K students transition into school with evidence-based behavioral interventions.
  • Deliver classroom consultation and collaborate with caregivers to support students school adjustment.
  • Provide input during two-day multidisciplinary evaluation sessions for new students.
  • Partner with First Step Transition team and participate in SNAP preschool services.
